WANDERING CODE
First created by the Campani brothers in the 17th century as a night clock for Pope Alexander VII, the wandering hour evolved across centuries — migrating into pocket watches, re-emerging through avant-garde independent watchmakers, and continually enriching the practice of motion as expression.
Today, many wandering-hour examples leans into multi-satellite display and thick theatrical cases. Time Cipher takes a more deliberate path. In a slender profile, the mechanism is distilled into quiet, poetic restraint, proposing a minimalist form for everday wearability.
DECODED IN MOTION
Emerging from deep darkness, the singular wandering assembly sweeps 360° every hour, its skeletonized arm tracing the minutes
around the dial's perimeter. Carried along this orbit, a gear-inspired hour disc rotates calmly against a fixed marker.
The minimalist architecture is sharpened by optical contrast. Against a Super Black dial that absorbs 99.4% of light, every finish comes
into crisp focus: Côtes de Genève striping on the arm, satin brushing on the hour disc, and a micro-sandblasted counterweight—all
finely chamfered along their edges. Raised glossy indices form a ring at the periphery, and the hour numerals are lit by Swiss
Super-LumiNova®, casting a lingering glow along time's path.
DECODED IN FORM
Time Cipher introduces a sculpted round case in 316L stainless steel. Capsule-shaped recesses at the four cardinal points feature a micro-sandblasted texture, creating an architectural contrast against the surrounding mirror-polished surfaces. Domed by a sapphire crystal, the lugless profile measures 11.8 mm thick, sitting slim and composed on the wrist.

The CD-08 automatic caliber is built upon the Miyota 9000-series. Operating at 28,800 vph with 24 jewels and 42-hour power reserve, the proven foundation has been reworked by CIGA design into a purpose-built movement for Time Cipher, driving the wandering-hour mechanism with stable, consistent performance.
